With dozens of powerful waterfalls, epic views of Half Dome, and endless hiking trails, could there be a better place for an adventure than hiking Yosemite National Park? We grabbed our Cotopaxi gear and went on a mission to do some exploring in the Valley. Summertime in Yosemite is usually hot and humid which makes it perfect for exploring swimming holes and waterfalls, but the weather decided to surprise us with a hefty dose of June gloom and some of the most torrential rain I’ve ever hiked in.
The weather caught us by surprise, but we threw on our rain shells and hit the trails anyway. After a few days of thick fog and pounding rain, the clouds cleared and we had some of the most beautiful weather I’ve ever experienced in the Valley. We hiked some of our favorite trails and found a few new ones to explore as well. Yosemite is one of those places that no matter how bad the weather is, you can still find a way to make an epic adventure out of it. We spent the rest of our trip chasing waterfalls, finding the best views of the Valley, and even made time to catch some epic sunsets. After a few days of exploring one of my favorite places, sure enough the last thing I wanted to do was leave. Here’s to the next adventure!
