The time to get outside and explore America’s national parks is now. Ever wondered how many parks there are and how many people visit these incredible places? Wondering which one to visit next? Use the infographics below to help inform your next trip. You might even find some parks that you didn’t even know existed. That said, good luck out there. We hope to see you at a national park soon!
If you made it this far, here are three tips to exploring national parks.
- Camp – Camping in or near a national park will enhance your national parks experience. Wondering where to camp? There are several websites, including The Dyrt, The Outbound, and Roots Rated to help you find the right campground.
- Free Entrance Days – The National Park Service wants everyone to enjoy the parks and has free entrance days each year. While these days might be a little more crowded than normal, it’s a great time to get out and explore a park. You can find out when those free entrance days are on the National Park Service website.
- Take a Camera – Capture your moments in the national parks and reflect on them frequently. If you live in the city, it’s a nice reminder of the beauty that exists minutes to hours away. That said, use your camera wisely and enjoy some time in the parks free from cell phone/camera distraction. It will be worth it, we promise.
